Administrative Division
In simple terms, it is a map base with bubbles or padding indicating the size of the metrics and their distribution. It can be used for a wide range, such as the distribution of sales in a region, the economic growth index in a given year, the distribution of supermarkets around the city, and so on, all of which can be clearly shown on the map.
The following is an example of how to create a administrative division.
Example: In the worksheet Sales, create a chart to show the distribution of sales for this month
View: All
Filtering field: Sales time
Time Range: This month
Configuration Steps
1. Create a new chart
Enter the configuration page of the chart.
2. Set the data range
Data source: all orders in this month
If you need to filter further, you can add filter conditions.
3. Select the [Administrative Division]
4. Set the dimension
Dimension: select the field [Region/City]
Numeric: number of records
Range: it is selected nation by defalut, and you can choose from nation, province or city.
5. Allow map selection
Once enabled, you can right-click on the chart to see the data at the next level ( Not available when the range is city ).
6. Set the figure
You can set it to padding or bubble.
7. Save
