Batch Processing Subform Data

The relationship between a subform and its parent worksheet is an implicit relationship. However, it is different from the association created through a relationship field.

How to Retrieve Subform Data

To retrieve subform data, you must first obtain the parent worksheet record and then retrieve the subform records associated with that record.

For example, to retrieve the order details stored in a subform of an order record, use the Get Multiple Data node and select Get Associated Records to retrieve the corresponding subform data.

How to Batch Add Data to a Subform

Subforms can be divided into two types:

• Subforms with an entity worksheet
• Subforms without an entity worksheet (created from a blank subform)

When a workflow automatically creates records, you must specify the target worksheet where the data will be added. Therefore, a subform without an entity worksheet cannot be used as a target for automatic data creation through workflows.

A blank subform can be converted into an entity worksheet when needed.

Batch Adding Data to a Subform with an Entity Worksheet

When batch adding data, a previous workflow node must first obtain the required batch data. The workflow can then use this data to automatically create multiple records in the subform.
